Reduced Service
The charity has reduced the level of service to Primary Care Trusts to a level that is economic for us to operate. We have not received enough funding from NHS organisations that cover the Greater Manchester area, in the current financial year. The result is that the charity is forecasting to lose about £20,000 in this financial year all coming out of reserves that were not created from NHS funding.
The charity is reducing its service by about 50% related to total funding. A quota system is in operation. We would ask Health Visitors, School Nurses etc. to bear with us while we work through this difficulty
As a consequence of this action many Health Professionals have complained to us, as needy children are being refused transport. We very much appreciate this concern and ask that Health Professionals seek out the Children’s Commissioner of services within their Primary Care Trust and tell them of how children are suffering as a result.
